Sally Meyer, PT Sally, an Anamosa Alumni, graduated from Luther in 1995 and received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa. She started Wapsi Physical Therapy in September of 2003 and her client list and business grew very quickly. As her business took off, Sally and her husband Jamie had their first baby, Emily and her brother Wes, joined the family 2 years later. On the rare occasion that Sally is not in the office, she is at home helping on the farm, playing with her kids, or working on projects that given enough time, will get completed. In all she does, taking care of her patients is one of her top priorities.
Ben Martens, PTA Ben graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at  Kirkwood Community College in 2007. He has worked at Wapsi Physical Therapy since. One of his favorite parts of his job is getting to work with such a wide range of patients and injuries every day. He enjoys helping people return to the activities that an injury has affected through functional movement training and education. Ben enjoys teaching a wide variety of exercise classes including: strength training, yoga, kickboxing and ARC class. Ben is a High School football coach. His love of football is common knowledge among staff and patients, particularly his fondness for the Chicago Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes.  Ben enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children.
Denise Harmon-Whitmore, Office Manager Denise came to Wapsi Physical Therapy in 2008, after spending 10 years driving back and forth from Cedar Rapids every day. She has enjoyed being in town and seeing several familiar faces come through the doors, and meeting new faces as well! Denise has been a friendly addition and smiles daily even while trying to figure out the world of insurance billing. When not at work Denise is busy being a mom to two girls and spending free time with her awesome group of friends and family.
Josiah Ertz, DPT Josiah got his doctoral degree in physical therapy at Clarke University in 2017. While at Clarke, he wrote his doctoral research on using the McKenzie technique to treat shoulder pain. He was exposed to the McKenzie technique for treating the spine and extremities at Clarke University and then furthered his experience while working under McKenzie trained therapists. His undergraduate studies included a baccalaureate degree in exercise science and movement at UNI. At UNI, he was involved in motor learning research, focusing on sport performance, which peaked his interest in using motor control to enhance athletic performance. Throughout college, he enjoyed participating in Olympic weightlifting and Judo competing in local and national collegiate events. When not in the clinic, he is likely outdoors spending time with his wife.
Benjamin J. Coyle, PTA I have been at Wapsi Physical Therapy and Fitness Center since 2016.  I am a Physical Therapist Assistant graduate from Kirkwood Community College.  Along with treating patients, I also instruct a Silver Sneakers exercise class twice a week and a Silver yoga class once a week. I used to work in manufacturing for years prior to being a therapist.  I think this gives me a little insight on the wear and tear a body can take in that field of work as well as insight at helping these patients recover. At home I love to spend as much time with my kids as possible, being walking in the park with them or playing card and board games with them.  I am a huge hockey fan and love to root for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders and the San Jose Sharks!  When it comes to football, its Hawkeyes and Vikings all the way!
