30 Minute Circuit
One of the work out options is a 30 min circuit. Circuit training combines short bursts of cardio and weight training in such a way that you can get your strength and cardio in one quick workout. The Circuit is set up to work all the major muscle groups and joints as well as have a variety of activities to raise your heart rate. Switching muscle groups eliminates the need to rest between exercises. This gets the heart rate up while doing resistance exercise.
Circuit training is an efficient and challenging form of conditioning. It works well for developing strength, endurance (both aerobic and anaerobic), flexibility and coordination. Circuit training is well suited for developing aerobic endurance or fat burning. It is, however, not so suitable for those wishing to build strength or muscle bulk. The number of repetitions performed on each station is relatively high, making it a good endurance activity.
A circuit workout improves both strength and endurance as well as jump – starting metabolism. When you leave the gym, you are still burning a third more calories than they did in the workout — and this goes on for hours. Muscles burn more calories than fat so building muscles help you burn more calories even when not exercising.
